Hoje iremos falar um pouco sobre os The Hep Stars, a famosa banda sueca que Benny tinha antes de ABBA. A banda foi formada em 1963 por Christer Pettersson, Lennart Hegland, Hans Östlund e Janne Frisk, em Estocolmo. Mais tarde, a banda foi constituída por Christer Pettersson, Lennart Hegland, Janne Frisk, Svenne Hedlund, Charlotte Walker (apenas juntou-se em 1969 e era esposa de Svenne) e Benny Andersson.
Today we will talk a bit about The Hep Stars, the famous Swedish band that Benny had before ABBA. The band was formed in 1963 by Christer Pettersson, Lennart Hegland, Hans Östlund and Janne Frisk, in Stockholm. Later, the band was consisted by Christer Pettersson, Lennart Hegland, Janne Frisk, Svenne Hedlund, Charlotte Walker (only joined in 1969 and was Svenne's wife) and Benny Andersson.
No início a banda se chamava Quartet Yep, onde atuavam em diversos tipos de estilos musicais, tornando-se depois uma banda de rock'n'roll e pop.
No verão de 1964, atuaram rock clube mais famoso da Suécia nos anos 60, em Nalen e apenas no Outono desse ano é que Benny entrou para a banda.
At the beginning that band was called Quartet Yet, where they performance several music styles, then becoming a rock'n'roll and pop band.
In the summer '64, they performance in the most famous rock club in Sweden in the 60s, in Nalen and only in that Autumn that Benny joined to the band.
Tiveram inúmeros sucessos em inglês como "Cadillac" e "Wedding" e aparências na TV. Em 1969, apenas restavam dois membros da banda: Svenne e Charlotte — que depois formaram a dupla "Svenne & Lotta". Esta dupla gravou originalmente a música "Bang A Boomerang" em sueco, que mais tarde ABBA gravou, mas em inglês.
They had countless successes in English like "Cadillac" and "Wedding" and some appearances on TV. In 1969, only was two members left: Svenne and Charlotte — which after they formed the duo "Svenne & Lotta". This duo recorded originally the song "Bang A Boomerang" in Swedish, that later ABBA recorded, but in English.
